Physician- Vascular Neurology
OverviewChristianaCare, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting a BE/BC Vascular Neurologist to join our well-established and growing physician-led practice. The team includes 10 Vascular Neurologists and Neurohospitalists overseeing acute stroke care and general consults. In-person work is at the Newark and Wilmington campuses, with an internal tele-network to cover all acute strokes across the system and a move to an overnight virtual shift-based model to support physician rest and work-life balance.ResponsibilitiesProvide acute stroke management and general consults as a member of the vascular neurology team.Collaborate with separate consultative services including acute stroke management, a primary stroke service, and a stroke follow-up clinic.Engage in an integrated system-wide approach to patient care across Newark and Wilmington campuses.Contribute to a comprehensive stroke program that includes a Neurointensive Care Unit, transitional Neuro Unit, epilepsy monitoring, and neuro-focused inpatient care.QualificationsMD, DO, or equivalentBE/BC in Neurology and Vascular NeurologyStrong clinical skills and excellent communication abilitiesExperience working with a diverse patient population preferredAbout ChristianaCareHeadquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, ChristianaCare is a dynamic healthcare organization with an extensive network of primary care and outpatient services, home health care, urgent care centers, three hospitals (1,336 beds), a Level I trauma center, a Level III epilepsy monitoring unit, a Level III NICU, a comprehensive stroke center, and regional centers of excellence in heart and vascular care, cancer care, and women’s health.ChristianaCare is recognized by Healthgrades as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals and is consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, and other national quality ratings.Compensation and BenefitsAnnual compensation range: $316,482.00 – $445,515.00. The range represents a good faith estimate of compensation for full-time hours in the specialty. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as fair market value, candidate experience, education, training, credentials, and qualifications. Compensation may include productivity incentives, value-based incentives, and other forms of compensation based on operational factors such as hours worked and call coverage.
