ELECTRICAL PANEL BUILDERCOMSTOCK PARK, MICHIGAN – LEAR ASI AUTOMATION DIVISIONNature Of WorkThis position is responsible for the electrical build and modification of custom automationsystems. In this position, you will work with engineering through each stage of the process - design, build, install,debug, and customer handoff. The candidate must be a self-starting, team player, who works well with others, has a positive attitude, and can prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, And ABILITIESMinimum 3 years of comprehensive experienceMust have ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlinesProficiency to read and comprehend engineered drawings, schematics, and control standardsLayout, mount, wire and label components, panels, connectors, and other controls hardware according toengineering’s designBroad knowledge of systems ranging from 120VAC to 575VAC, 24VDC, and 4-20mA.Attention to detail and accuracyQuality wire managementProper wire tagging procedureField wiring standardsFollow proper precautions with cable management, sharp edges, and cord gripsSolid hand tool skillsFabrication inside and outside of the shop environmentCommunicate improvement ideas to improve design’s efficiency, robustness, and/or costEmbrace TeamworkAbility to work on a team to support fabrication and installation teamsEmbrace team approach with Outward Mindset mentalityMentor/train talentCommunicate across cross-functional groupsElectrical installation at customer sitesWilling to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlinesComputer skills – basic email, spreadsheet input, accessing folders, etc.Understand and communicate applicable safety standards: general industry (OSHA 1910), machine guarding, robot safety (ANSI/RIA 15.06), automated vehicles, conveyor safety, NEC codes, and UL and CSA labeling.Lear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.Applicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
