Job Description:The Department of Sociology at Wittenberg University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Sociology 101 (an introductory course emphasizing the social construction of culture and social structure, socialization, forms of social stratification, and emphasizing the use the "sociological imagination" to connect personal experiences to broader socio-historical patterns) in the Fall 2026 semester beginning August 24th. Courses can be taught either in-person or online for lectures 2 or 3 times per week, depending on the instructor's schedule.To express interest, please submit your information electronically through our online application process described.Requirements:A Master's in sociology is required, while a Ph.D. in sociology is preferred.
