Design Engineer II - Electrical
Summary: The Design Engineer II will be responsible for developing innovative design solutions, creating technical drawings and documentation, and supporting the product development process from concept to production. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet performance, quality, safety, and cost requirements.Responsibilities:Develop and refine product designs using appropriate design tools and softwareCreate and maintain technical drawings, models, and documentationWork with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure design feasibility and functionalityParticipate in the design and development of new products or the improvement of existing onesSupport prototyping, testing, and validation of designsEnsure designs comply with applicable standards, regulations, and specificationsIdentify and resolve design-related issues during development and production phasesContribute to design reviews and continuous improvement effortsPositional Requirements & Qualifications:Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)Good understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processesExperience in a design or product development roleFamiliarity with simulation tools, prototyping, or testing methodsKnowledge of industry-specific standards or certificationsSkills & AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlinesExperience in a design or product development roleFamiliarity with simulation tools, prototyping, or testing methodsKnowledge of industry-specific standards or certificationsMust be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelinesClear background check and drug/alcohol screeningEssential Physical Functions:Travel: less than 10%Lifting up to 20 poundsBending, stooping, walkingThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
