Job Description:Role: Android DeveloperLocation: Blue Ash, OHDuration: 12+ Months ContractJob Description:One of the biggest drivers of our business is our Alternative Revenue Group and we have recently spun up a dedicated team to our Monetization efforts. Previously, these products were maintained as a piece of other teams' spaces so there will be a focused effort on breaking any coupling within the existing codebase as well as continuing to enhance the Monetization Platform. It offers a fun and unique challenge where we are building a platform from scratch while being able to benefit from our previous lessons learned. We are looking at how we can evolve our product offering to serve our customers better every day while making a sizeable impact on the business.ROLE DESCRIPTION:Identify and uphold Android engineering best practicesCollaborate with designers & product managers to iterate on the design & implementation of our productWork with Backend Engineers to build and ship featuresDesign a framework for creating user apps that grows with the needs of the companyMonitor app performance, watch for traffic drops related to site usability problems & rectify the issuesReview app and feature code, and plan future app upgrades with the development teamAssist in the development of features that will be put on the mobile app & in internal applicationsImplement responsible design principles to ensure that our app renders well on most devices and is accessibleStay up-to-date on emerging technologiesREQUIREMENTS:Strong experience using KotlinStrong analytical problem-solving skillsExperience with modern Android libraries and toolingDetail-oriented works well in a team and individuallySelf-starter with strong initiative and ability to work under pressureUnderstanding of the entire mobile development process (design, development, testing and releases)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround timesExcellent organizational, time, and project management skillsBusiness-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlinesBONUS POINTS:3+ years of experience working on large scale Android applicationsDesign and UX sensibilitiesA solid understanding of best practices and techniques regarding scalability, performance, and securityExperience with continuous integration tools such as Gitlab, Team City, and BitriseExperience with test automation frameworks such as Appium, Firebase, and PerfectoBest Regards,Kevin SmithLead Technical RecruiterNAVTECH INCPH : 224-296-3545 | kevin@navtechusa.com
