This role combines engineering expertise, Lean manufacturing leadership, and data-driven problem solving to improve product quality, increase process capability, and eliminate waste across the organization. This position serves as the leader of the company’s quality management system and works cross-functionally with production, engineering, sourcing, and leadership teams to drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesManage the company’s quality management systems and processesManage a team of six direct report quality technicians, to include retention, development and potential backfillingDevelop, implement, and maintain inspection methods, testing procedures, and process controls to ensure consistent product qualityEnsure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry quality standardsLead preparation for and execution of third-party quality audits and certificationsMaintain documentation, procedures, and quality records that support effective quality management and traceabilityLead Lean quality initiatives aimed at reducing defects, improving process capability, and increasing operational efficiencyUtilize Lean tools such as root cause analysis, statistical process control, value stream mapping, and standard work to improve manufacturing performanceIdentify systemic quality issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventative actionsLead cross-functional problem-solving efforts related to quality and manufacturing performanceMonitor key quality performance metrics and communicate results to leadershipAnalyze trends in defects, process variation, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvementDocument inspection results, audit findings, corrective actions, and improvement initiativesEstablish reporting systems that provide clear visibility into product and process qualityTrain employees in quality standards, inspection methods, and Lean problem-solving techniquesRequirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field preferred)10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering or quality management Experience implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement systemsExperience leading quality initiatives in a production environment Experience managing quality technicians or junior engineers as direct reports preferredStrong understanding of quality management systems and manufacturing quality processesExperience conducting process capability studies and statistical analysisAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly prints, and technical specificationsStrong working knowledge of precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).Experience working with manufacturing data, quality metrics, and reporting tools.BenefitsWe value our team members and believe in providing competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including:Competitive wage with annual increases and a performance-based annual bonus.401(k) retirement planHealth, dental, & vision, insurance coverageCompany paid life, short- & long-term disability insurance coveragePaid time off for vacation, holidays, and personal days
