Starting Salary Range: $130,000-150,000 EFK Moen, LLC, is a civil engineering design consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with additional office locations in St. Charles, Missouri, Chicago and Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for a full-time position managing DOT projects in our Fairview Heights, Illinois office. The successful candidate should be highly motivated with a proven track record of leadership as this is an opportunity for expansion and growth in this newly created position/role. Job Description: Collaboratively work in partnership with our Illinois Regional Transportation Manager to lead civil engineering design projects as a Project Manager in a team-oriented environment. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies - municipal, county and state. DutiesResponsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive: Responsible for delivering quality highway/roadway design plans that meet client expectations and adhere to the budget throughout the life of the project Collaborate with both internal and external team members including other design disciplines Provide training to staff-level engineers Participate in project proposal preparation and client presentation Responsible for being the Engineer of Record on projects, point of contact for clients Performs other job duties as assigned Minimum Knowledge/Qualifications, SkillsAbilities: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois 10+ years of experience in civil/highway design projects for state DOT, County, City and/or other municipal clients; familiarity with IDOT plan development guidelines and standards Proven track record of leading multiple design projects concurrently, taking projects from pursuit through final plan delivery Experience with Project Management methodologies and best practices Experience in coordinating and collaborating with specialty discipline leads (Traffic, Hydraulics, Structures) and with subconsultants and training staff-level engineers Proficient in using MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads and/or ORD design software using the CADD environments for IDOT and other area agencies Familiarity with the procedures and methodologies published in the national guidelines (MUTCD, AASHTO, US Access Board, etc.) Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and organizational skills Proficiency with Excel and other general office software Preferred Experience: Desire to be involved with business development and project pursuits Experience in giving client presentations Experience with developing, negotiating and reviewing design fee proposals and contracts Additional experience: Drainage Design Intersection Control Evaluations (ICE) or warrants and Traffic Studies Roadway Safety Audits (RSA) and Safety Studies Physical Qualifications: Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software EFK Moen, LLC offers its full-time employees: Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Company Holidays Paid Parental Leave Health, Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Contribution Company sponsored Short and Long-Term disability coverage Company sponsored life insurance coverage Professional License exam fee reimbursement Bonus Opportunities Support of professional organization membership and activities Work-life balance through a flexible, casual work environment A culture of mentoring and teamwork EFK Moen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
