PTC Program Training Specialist

Position SummaryThe PTC Program Training Specialist plays a vital role in the development, maintenance, and delivery of training curricula for customers across Maine. This position supports provider agency staff, Workforce Development Program participants, self-advocates, and natural supports through high-quality instruction in a variety of training areas, including Direct Support Worker (DSW) and PTC Core curricula, BHP and DSP Pathways, CPR, and other required courses.This role is ideal for an experienced trainer who enjoys both curriculum development and instruction, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is committed to supporting learners through engaging, professional, and accessible training experiences delivered in person and virtually.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, review, and deliver training curriculum to statewide customers, including provider agency staff, Workforce Development Program participants, self-advocates, and natural supports.Teach a range of PTC courses, including Direct Support Worker (DSW) and Core curricula, BHP and DSP Pathways, CPR, and other required trainings.Deliver trainings in classroom settings and through virtual training platforms, depending on program needs.Achieve and maintain all instructor certifications required to carry out position responsibilities, including American Heart Association First Aid/CPR, Behavioral Health Professional, College of Direct Support, Core Pathways, and DSW curricula.Maintain all teaching materials, classroom supplies, and training equipment.Support classroom setup and breakdown and ensure training materials are organized, current, and ready for use.Travel to satellite locations across Maine, including Augusta, Bangor, Kennebunk, Manchester, Waterville, Presque Isle, and other locations as needed.Be available to teach evening and weekend classes based on program needs.Salary* Full-time, Monday - Friday typical schedule* $46,000 - $53,000 based on education and experienceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field requiredAt least two years of relevant instructional experience with adult learners requiredAt least two years of experience working with adults or children with developmental disabilities requiredEligibility for BHP and DSP certification requiredExperience with curriculum development requiredStrong knowledge of computer technology required, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AdobeExcellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail requiredAbility to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic environment requiredTeam-focused approach with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills requiredComprehensive Benefits PackageAt Woodfords, we know that meaningful work starts with a supportive workplace.
