We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Fisher BioServices ( https://www.fisherclinicalservices.com ) AP team in Rockville, MD. Conveniently located off of Gude Drive, we are the industry leader in the management of critical biological materials to support the advancement of cell therapy, GMP biologics, and population-based public health research. Core Responsibilities: • Review and enter invoices, ensure proper PO authorizations and coding prior to data entry and release for payment • Help maintain the AP mailboxes and internal vendor files • Select and process vendor payments via check and electronic ACH • Ensure invoice and vendor inquiries are handled in an accurate and timely manner • Assist in completing the financial month-end close • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • 2+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience or equivalent education • Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and General Ledger coding • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook • Excellent communication and organizational skills • High attention to detail • Ability to self-prioritize workflow and critically evaluate information • Experience with multiple departments, multisite/intercompany expenses, travel expense reports, and/or inventory and PO purchasing preferred
