Electrical Engineer
*Job Title: Electrical Engineer*
*Location: Freeport, IL (Onsite)*
*Duration: 12+ Months*
*Roles & Responsibilities:*
* Set up machines for testing of electro-mechanical switches
* Develop test procedures
* Create/update CAD drawings
* Create/update LabVIEW programs for testing and qualification
* Review, create, and update quality improvement plans for related manufacturing processes
* Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, and product quality for customers
* Update inspection-related instructions to adhere to current processes
*Required Skills (Technical Competency):*
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering
* 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience
* CAD experience required
* Exhibits successful ability with indirect leadership of diverse teams deploying complex processes.
* Displays strong analytical skills including data query writing and development.
*Desired Skills:*
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience a plus
* Previous experience with electro-mechanical products preferred
* Previous experience with creating test procedures preferred
* Experience with LabVIEW software valued
* Six Sigma certification and /or Lean Expert certification valued
* Previous experience with setting up new product lines in a manufacturing environment valued
* Proficient with GD&T concepts
* Demonstrated capacity to meet aggressive deadlines while achieving excellent business results
* Shows very strong written and oral communication skills to all stakeholders
* Established ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
* Experience working in multicultural environments and with others of diverse backgrounds preferred
*Physical Requirements & Work Environment:*
* Mostly Shop Floor Environments with more than half the day spent standing/walking. Occasional office involvement
* Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
* Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
* Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
* Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
* Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
* Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
