*Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based* *Location:* Dearborn, Michigan *Assignment:* August 19, 2026 – June 10, 2027 *Schedule:* Monday–Friday *Hours:* 7:55 AM–2:35 PM *Weekly Hours:* 37.5 hours/week *Caseload:* Middle School *New Graduates:* Welcome *CFY Candidates:* Accepted *Michigan SLP Certification:* Required *SLP-CCC:* Preferred *Position Overview* We are seeking a dedicated *Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)* to join a school district in *Dearborn, MI* for the 2026–2027 school year. This position will provide speech and language services to a *middle school caseload*, supporting students in their academic, communication, and developmental needs. The exact school location and caseload will be determined during the interview process with the district. *Responsibilities* * Provide speech, language, and communication services to students in a middle school setting. * Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations as appropriate. * Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals. * Provide individual and/or group therapy based on student needs. * Track and document student progress and maintain accurate records. * Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other school-based professionals. * Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student educational planning. * Recommend appropriate strategies and accommodations to support student success. * Maintain compliance with district policies and applicable special education requirements. *Requirements* * *Valid Michigan SLP certification/license required.* * *SLP-CCC preferred.* * *CFY candidates are welcome to apply.* * New graduates are encouraged to apply. * Experience working with school-aged children is preferred but not required for qualified new graduates. * Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team. *Schedule* * *Monday–Friday* * *7:55 AM–2:35 PM* * *37.5 hours per week* * Early release on most Tuesdays. *Why Join?* * *New graduates and CFYs are welcome.* * Work within a well-established public school district. * Middle school caseload. * Consistent weekday schedule aligned with the school calendar. * Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication and academic development.
