University of Oregon Dining Assistant
The Theta Delta chapter of Tri Delta is looking for their next team member, and you do not need to be a member of Tri Delta to apply! We are actively looking for Dining Assistants that can assist with our daily meal service management and maintenance of the dining room, and at times the kitchen where needed. The Dining Assistant is a member of Tri Deltas Park Street Properties Team. Status: Part-Time/Seasonal
Location: On-site
Supervised by: Chef or House Director (varies by location)
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Employee Relationships & Expectations
Promptly notify supervisor and/or house director of any maintenance problems or unsafe conditions in or around the kitchen
Observe kitchen, dining and chapter rules, as determined by the chapter, chef, and house director (varies by location)
Refrain from the use of alcohol or drugs in and around the chapter territory
Maintain a professional relationship with all chapter members and residents, employees, and volunteers
Notify supervisor and/or house director of any accidents or injuries while on duty, immediately
Cleaning & Sanitation
Assist in cleaning the dining room
Assist in taking out trash daily
Assist in washing dishes after each meal where needed
Assist in waiter and table bussing as needed
Properly care for supplies
Perform general duties as assigned
Required qualifications include:
0 to 1+ years of related experience
Possesses skills to operate a computer including web browsing, email, and Office products
Meet specified physical requirements of lifting no more than 40 lbs, standing on the tile floor for long periods of time, and use of hands to handle and control tools
Ability to speak and read English
Ability to use proper discretion and independent judgement in carrying out the primary roles and responsibilities of the position
