This PositionWe are seeking a Sandblasting Technician!Job SummaryResponsible for preparing metal and other surfaces by removing rust, paint, and contaminants using abrasive blasting equipment. This role ensures surfaces are properly cleaned and prepared for coating, painting, or finishing.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfacesRemove rust, scale, paint, and other materials from surfacesInspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure qualityMix and load abrasive materials as neededMaintain and clean blasting equipment and work areaFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPEWork with team members to meet production deadlinesRequirementsPrevious sandblasting or industrial labor experience preferredAbility to work in physically demanding environmentsComfortable wearing respirators and protective gearBasic understanding of safety practicesReliable and able to work independently or as part of a teamWork EnvironmentIndustrial or shop settingExposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipmentMay require standing, lifting, and working in confined spacesQualificationsHold a High School or higher degree.Strong attention to detail.Able to work in a fast-paced environment.The ability to lift 50 lbs. when required.Must be able to stand, stoop, and bend for most of your shift.Salary Range$16+ per hour depending on experienceEqual Opportunity Employer: Vector is an equal opportunity employer.
