Certified Child Life Specialist - Community-basedWindham, Maine & Bridgton, MainePart-Time to Full-TimeAbout Us:Play Warriors is a pediatric therapy office offering services dedicated to supporting children and families as they navigate medical challenges, emotional development, grief, loss, and trauma. We offer compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each child’s developmental and emotional needs. At this time we offer child life therapy, occupational therapy, nutritional therapy, integrative services as well as therapeutic playgroups, peer support groups and family therapeutic outings.We are seeking a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) to join our team. This individual will provide therapeutic, developmental, and emotional support services to children in a community-based private practice setting.Provide individual and family-based child life services, including therapeutic play, coping support, and psychoeducation.Support children through medical experiences, grief and loss, trauma, behavioral challenges, or major life changes (e.g., divorce, new diagnoses).Collaborate with caregivers, schools, and healthcare providers when appropriate to ensure continuity of care.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and treatment plans.Deliver services in-office, in-home, virtually, or at community locations, as appropriate.Uphold ethical standards and adhere to the Child Life Code of Ethics and practice guidelines.Participate and facilitate peer support groups and therapeutic playgroups, as well as attend therapeutic outings (off-site).Qualifications:Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) in good standing.Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Child Life (Preferred), Psychology, Child Development, or related field.5 years (preferred) of experience, working in-hospital or out-patient child life role or closely related field with a pediatric population and family-centered role with transferable skills.Experience working in private practice, home care, hospice, or community settings is a plus.Excellent communication, rapport-building, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.Professional liability insurance required.Background check clearance required.Compensation:• Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.Flexible schedule based on caseload availability.To Apply: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf9K3QpT05bnZoMPBHLKmcdZUI5axxIzL2QhfRdUPFfihqJQQ/viewformAre you interested in creating a Play Warriors practice where you live?
