ASE Certified Diesel Mechanic

Job Description Key Responsibilities:Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on automotive vehicles and heavy machinery. Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes and other components for signs of wear and tear.Diagnostic Analysis: Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems to pinpoint faults and malfunctions.Repair and Replacement: Conduct repairs on faulty or damaged parts, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems. Replace defective components and ensure proper installation.Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks for repairing metal components. Fabricate new parts or modify existing ones to meet specific requirements.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities. Document parts usage, repairs made, and equipment condition.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Identify and address potential safety hazards associated with machinery operation and maintenance.Collaboration: Coordinate with other maintenance personnel to streamline repair processes. Communicate effectively with supervisors and operators regarding equipment status and maintenance needs.Qualifications:Must possess current ASE CertificationProven experience as an Automotive/Heavy Machinery Maintenance Mechanic.Proficient knowledge of automotive and heavy machinery systems.Skilled in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Able to operate heavy equipment.Welding and fabrication experience.Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.Stamina and agility to perform tasks in confined spacesEducation and Certifications:Must possess current ASE CertificationHigh school diploma or equivalent.Vocational training or certification in automotive or heavy machinery maintenance is a plus.Valid driver's license.
