Assistant General Manager (AGM) -

Job Description Position SummaryThe Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the daily operations of the restaurant by helping lead staff, maintain service standards, oversee guest experience, and ensure smooth front and back-of-house operations. This role works closely with the management team to create a positive work environment, maintain profitability, and deliver exceptional hospitality. Operations & ServiceAssist in overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shiftsEnsure high standards of guest service, cleanliness, food quality, and presentationHandle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficientlySupport opening and closing proceduresMonitor dining room flow and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staffReply and book functions within the restaurant along with potential outside catering events Staff LeadershipHelp train, coach, and support front-of-house team membersAssist with scheduling and shift coveragePromote a positive, team-oriented work environmentEnforce restaurant policies, standards, and proceduresParticipate in staff meetings and ongoing training initiativesFinancial & Administrative DutiesAssist with inventory management and ordering as necesssaryHelp monitor labor costs, sales performance, and daily cash handlingSupport payroll preparation and tip reporting processesEnsure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulationsGuest ExperienceBuild relationships with regular guests and create a welcoming atmosphereMaintain strong knowledge of menu items, specials, and beverage offeringsStep into service roles as needed during busy periodsQualificationsPrevious restaurant supervisory or leadership experience preferredStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environmentFlexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidaysKnowledge of POS systems and restaurant operationsAbility to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbsPreferred TraitsStrong leadership presenceReliable and organizedPositive attitude and team-first mindsetProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesPassion for hospitality and guest experienceCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay or salary based on experienceBonus opportunities (if applicable)Employee dining discountsOpportunities for growth and advancement
