Our team works alongside Navy personnel and industry partners to ensure mission success during live fire, simulated, and integrated test events.Job SummarySSTi is seeking a "Systems Engineer" with hands-on experience supporting Aegis Combat System (ACS) operations, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), and Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) testing. The ideal candidate will provide shipboard and land-based system engineering support during simulated and live fire events and Waterfront Integration Tests (WITs), with a strong focus on operational accuracy, data collection, and test documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Aegis Combat System Scribe during shipboard and land-based test events for ABMD and AAW live fire and simulated missionsRecord and document combat system activity, producing detailed event timelines and run logsIdentify, document, and track combat system issues with potential tactical impact (CPCRs, TORs)Support data analysis teams by documenting expected behaviors and system excursionsCollaborate with Navy operators, system engineers, SMEs, and test personnelRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience supporting Aegis Combat Systems, missile defense, or naval combat systemsActive Secret security clearanceAbility to work effectively in shipboard, lab, and operational test environmentsPreferred QualificationsPrior U.S. Navy combat systems or operations experienceStrong understanding of Aegis BMD and AAW operational conceptsExperience documenting system performance and test resultsDirect experience supporting WITs, live fire events, or integrated combat system testingStrong written communication skills for technical reporting and documentationBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and federal holidaysOpportunity to support mission-critical Navy programsvisit www.s-s-t-i.com/careers for more information
