Full Time Sterling, VA Sr. Software Developer Duties: Analyze, design, develop, test and modify computer software applications software or specialized programs. Review and analyze business system and user needs and develop software solutions. Consult with clients and subject matter experts to develop or refine complex user requirements, translates user requirements from a formal requirements document into an application and/or database design. Create clear and complete design documents. Lead effective design reviews, with an emphasis on best practices. Lead effective code reviews, with an emphasis on ensuring effective coding practices. Plan and execute unit tests including technical, functional, and integration tests. Document system requirements, defining scope and objectives. Mentor junior developers on fundamentals, design patterns, effective coding practices, and tool usage. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or a foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, Engineering (any) or related field plus five years of progressive experience in any position/title providing experience with JAVA. Special Requirements: Qualifying Experience must include experience with JAVA. Position requires travel/relocation to various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. with expenses paid by the employer.
