DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position focuses on conducting inspections and supporting investigative work to ensure full compliance with laws, rules, and regulations across licensed professions. The role requires careful observation, thorough documentation, and consistent application of standards. As a Regulatory Enforcement Inspector, you will perform the following duties: Field Inspections: Perform inspections of licensed locations to verify compliance with required laws, rules, and regulations Citation Actions: Issue citations when violations are identified under the Citation Program Investigative Support: Assist investigations by obtaining records, serving legal documents, and participating in undercover activities when needed Evidence Collection: Collect samples and conduct tests using commercial kits to evaluate possible prohibited substances Report Preparation: Prepare accurate written reports that summarize inspection and investigative findings Professional Coordination: Plan inspection activities, communicate with supervisors, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. The professional team of inspectors assigned to the Harrisburg Regional Office (HRO) will provide inspection services to the following counties that comprise HRO: Somerset, Bedford, Fulton, Franklin, Adams, York, Lancaster, Berks Lebanon, Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, Huntingdon, Juniata, Mifflin, Centre, Cambria, Blair, and Clearfield. Inspectors are assigned specific areas to provide coverage; however, an inspector could be assigned an inspection anywhere within HRO. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience involving interpersonal public contact and inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations and reporting related facts; or An Associate's Degree and one year of experience involving interpersonal public contact and inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations and reporting related facts; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which included one year of experience involving interpersonal public contact and inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations and reporting related facts. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
