Position Overview IGCP is seeking a Senior Associate with experience of 4-5 years to support the firm’s originations, underwriting, capital markets, and transaction execution functions. This role is designed for a highly analytical and motivated real estate finance professional with experience underwriting and executing commercial real estate transactions. The Associate will work closely with team members across all phases of the transaction lifecycle, including initial screening, financial analysis, due diligence, capital structuring, and closing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, commercially minded, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Originations & Transaction Management Evaluate new financing opportunities across multiple CRE asset classes and capital sources Assist in structuring debt and equity solutions tailored to borrower needs Support intake process, pipeline management and transaction screening efforts Coordinate with borrowers, brokers, lenders, and third-party vendors throughout the deal process 2. Credit & Underwriting Build and maintain detailed financial models and cash flow analyses Perform asset-level underwriting, valuation, and market analysis Review sponsor financial statements, operating history, and business plans Prepare investment memoranda and underwriting materials for internal and external stakeholders Conduct sensitivity analyses and risk assessments across varying capital structures and sources 3. Capital Markets & Structuring Assist in the structuring of senior loans, mezzanine financing, and preferred equity investments Support syndication, lender and investor outreach, and capital partner communications Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and capital markets activity Coordinate diligence materials for financing counterparties and investors 4. Transaction Management Support transactions from term sheet through closing Coordinate third-party reports including appraisals, environmental reviews, engineering reports, and legal diligence Review loan documentation, closing checklists, and transaction materials Work closely with legal counsel and counterparties to facilitate efficient execution 5. Firm Development & Team Support Contribute to process improvement initiatives including AI and underwriting best practices Assist senior leadership with strategic projects and market research Support the firm’s collaborative, high-performance culture Qualifications 4–5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, investment banking, structured finance, lending, or credit underwriting Strong understanding of commercial real estate capital structures and lending products Advanced financial modeling and Excel proficiency required Experience underwriting CRE transactions across multiple asset classes preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously Master's degree preferred Compensation Estimated Base Salary - $120k-$130kCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus opportunity Long-term growth opportunity within an entrepreneurial and expanding platform
