This role involves counseling business leaders, managing the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating legal risks. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Critical to success in this role is the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Information Security, Customer Success, Procurement, and Operations), and experience leveraging technology, including AI tools, to streamline legal processes and decision-making. More importantly we are looking for a person with a positive can-do attitude that is comfortable with ambiguity and creating processes and systems from scratch.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, Channel, vendor, and privacy contractsCollaborate with Sales, Information Security, Procurement, and other departments to align legal strategies with business objectivesTriage and track the end-to-end contract lifecycle: intake, negotiation, execution, archiving, and reporting via the legal alias inboxesMaintain and enforce legal processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and complianceAct with urgency to meet month-end, quarter-end, and year-end business deadlinesLead strategic initiatives, including the selection and implementation of the company’s first Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system and other technology-driven improvementsManage ad hoc legal projects and support broader legal team initiativesDevelop and maintain training materials for onboarding cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, CS, etc.).
