Maintenance Technician for Assisted Living Facility (ALF)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Maintain building and grounds. Responds promptly to all requests for repairs or maintenance concerns. Assists with resident move-ins and move-outs. Prepares resident rooms for new residents. Tests the fire protection systems as required by code and schedules regular inspections. Maintains HVAC system ensuring a comfortable temperature in the community. Ensures an effective lighting system in the community. Ensures the plumbing system is working properly at all times. Supervises proper removal and disposal of trash. Conducts regular safety inspections, fire drills, emergency evacuation drills, etc. regularly. Participates in training associates in safety issues, emergency situations and safe practices. Must have knowledge and experience with all types of construction phases including: Carpentry Concrete Repairs Electrical Fencing Framing Gutter Repairs Handyman & General Repair Work HVAC Painting (Interior & Exterior) Plumbing Pressure Washing Remodeling & Construction Knowledge Roof Repairs/Replacements Rotten Wood Repairs Sheetrock and Drywall Repairs Tiling SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS: Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities. Ability to motivate and influence people. Organizing, planning, and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work as a part of a team.
