Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionECBuild is looking at add a Project Accountant to our Fort Worth, TX office. The Project Accountant is responsible for both general project accounting and office administration functions. Accounting responsibilities include Owner billings, subcontractor payment applications, miscellaneous invoices and expense reports. Office Administrator responsibilities include managing office/breakroom supply inventory, managing office parking, and upon request, preparing Executive expense reportss.Essential FunctionsManage Accounts Payable functions, including gathering, reviewing, processing, distributing, coding and posting invoicesReceive, review, track and distribute vendor insurance certificatesManage the monthly Subcontractor payment applications including gathering, reviewing, processing, entering and postingManage the monthly Subcontractor payment applications including gathering, reviewing, processing, entering and postingMonitor subcontractor compliance and issue payment holds until compliant Create weekly Authorized Payment Schedule for assigned projects, based on Owner funding and subcontractor compliance Log and track lien notices until resolvedManage and prepare Owner payment applicationsEstablish lines of credit for the company with various vendorsReview Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders for accuracy prior to issuance and executionReview and process expense reportsPrepare Executive expense reports upon request Manage shipping accounts (FedEx)Open and distribute mailPerform other related duties as assigned Core CompetenciesProfessionalism in communication and performanceProblem analysis and resolutionPlanning and organizationTechnical knowledge and applicationClient relationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWork EnvironmentMost work is performed in an office environment. This position may be exposed to characteristic construction site dangersRequirementsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related work experienceMinimum of 5 years construction project accounting experienceExcellent time management skills and a high attention to detailExperience with accounting software systemProficient with Microsoft Office - Word, ExcelProficient with BluebeamAbility to work well with diverse, multi-disciplined groupsPreferred Education And ExperienceConstruction Project AccountingKnowledge of Foundation accounting software
