Role Description The Fiscal Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Swanton, OH. The chosen candidate will oversee the financial operations of the Village, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting. Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, managing municipal funds, preparing financial forecasts, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and aiding in strategic financial planning. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a dedication to public service to ensure the efficient financial management of the Village. Qualifications Financial management skills, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reportingKnowledge of state and federal financial compliance standards and regulationsProficiency in financial software, data analysis, and reporting toolsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with stakeholdersExperience in municipal finance or working within the public sector is a plusKnowledge of auditing processes and preparation of financial statementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
