Senior Bridge Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join a growing engineering consulting firm with offices throughout the Northeast.Responsibilities This role will focus primarily on bridge and transportation-related structural engineering projects, while also providing exposure to a broader range of structural work within a multidisciplinary team environment.Key responsibilities include:Perform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structuresLead design efforts on simple to moderately complex assignmentsAssist with bridge inspections and site investigations to document existing conditionsPerform site inspections for projects engineered by the officeComplete and review structural calculationsAssist in preparing drawings and specificationsSupport construction administration efforts by providing technical solutions during constructionCoordinate with internal engineering teams and architectural staffContribute to projects from initial investigation and design through construction completionQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering7–15 years of related structural engineering experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license required in New York; New Jersey PE is a plusBridge inspection experience and certification preferredFamiliarity with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, and/or NJDOT standards preferredStrong understanding and application of structural design codesExperience using structural analysis softwareAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAutoCAD experience required; Revit experience is a plusInterest in developing a well-rounded structural engineering background within transportation and infrastructure projects
