Title - Budgeting Program ManagerLocation – South San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite)OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in budget planning, financial oversight, and program execution within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. This role will be responsible for managing cross-functional programs, ensuring financial discipline, and driving strategic initiatives from planning through execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end program management for multiple initiatives across clinical, commercial, or R&D functionsDevelop, manage, and track program budgets, forecasts, and financial performancePartner with Finance to ensure accurate cost planning, variance analysis, and reportingDrive cross-functional alignment across stakeholders including Clinical, Regulatory, Finance, and OperationsIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure program timelines and budgets are metEstablish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for program successPresent program updates, financial insights, and recommendations to senior leadershipEnsure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)8+ years of experience in program/project management within Pharma or BiotechStrong experience in budget management, financial planning, and cost controlProven ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional programsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience working in regulated environments (FDA, GxP)Preferred QualificationsPMP or equivalent certificationExperience with clinical trials, drug development lifecycle, or commercialization programsFamiliarity with financial tools (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsKey SkillsProgram & Portfolio ManagementBudgeting & Financial ForecastingStakeholder ManagementRisk & Compliance ManagementStrategic Planning
