Full Job Description Job Type: Part Time & Full Time Options Physical Therapy San Pedro is a physical therapy & sports performance center located in San Pedro, CA. We are a privately-owned orthopedic and sports physical therapy clinic and are looking for a cheerful, dedicated and experienced individual to join our team! Our staff consists of Doctors of Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistants, certified Pilates Instructors and Strength Coaches. We are a full gym & fitness center. Our center has kickboxing, circuit training, and strength & conditioning classes. The ideal candidate has been a physical therapy aide more than 2 years. They must have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, kinesiology and exercise instruction and a passion for fitness and athletics. Ideally they would have been a high school or collegiate athlete and participate in routine strength training. They must be personable, well-spoken and poised with exceptional people skills. The candidate should be focused, organized and a multi-tasker who thinks quickly on their feet. They must also be kind and an empathetic listener who is customer service driven. PT Aide Essential Duties include the following: Provides support to treating physical therapists, including exercise instruction, creating home exercise programs, and modality set up as needed. Cleans and maintains therapy/exercise equipment. Keeps current with laundry and maintains adequate stock of supplies. Qualifications: At least 2 year of experience as PT Aide Certified-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Basic knowledge of exercise science, anatomy and physiology, medical and physical therapy terminology A good understanding of exercise mechanics is necessary Basic background in exercise is required, history of participation in sports preferred. Experience with Private Insurance, Medicare, Workers Compensation (preferred) Computer savvy with MS Office (MS Excel and Word) experience. Competent in learning computer systems for patient management. Able to work in a fast paced environment Verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude, dependable, punctual Time management skills, computer skills Job Types: Part -Full Time Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Schedule: 4-8 hour shift Day shift Benefits: All employees have free membership to our gym/ Sports Performance Center Sick Pay Professional development assistance Education: High school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s in Science in Kinesiology, Exercise Sports Science or other related field is a plus but not mandatory.
