A dedicated local community bank for over 175 years, Bristol County Savings Bank is actively involved in giving back to all the communities it serves both through financial support and the volunteerism of its people.Primary Accountabilities / ResponsibilitiesPerforms any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and the community in which it serves.Supports, and adheres to, the Bank's regulatory compliance objectives.Supervises and coordinates teller area to ensure quality customer service and effective branch operations in conformance with established Bank strategies, policies, and procedures.Supports and adheres to, the Bank's regulatory compliance objectives and implements changes to support prescribed requirements.Directly supervises tellers and schedules the daily activities of the teller staff.Troubleshoots and reconciles problems and complaints relative to teller line activity.Performs teller related operational activities.Verifies vault totals daily and maintains cash levels within prescribed limits.Sells and redeems U.S. Saving Bonds.Provides service and cross sells all products to customer in teller capacity.Provides backup to Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager as needed.Performs security functions, including opening and closing the branch offices, vault opening and closing, proper storage of cash and checks, internal control.Other Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesPerforms related and unrelated duties as may be required or assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma plus specialized course work and training. At least three years' experience in a teller position with demonstrated supervisory ability. Working knowledge of the Bank's products and services. Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Able to use various office equipment including computer terminal. Able to work extended or weekend hours.Independent ActionPerforms work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Executive management when clarification or exception to Bank policy may be required.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
