Job Overview
Radix is seeking talented Software Engineers to support mission-critical satellite ground systems. We value technical excellence, collaboration, and real-world impact. We support U.S. government customers developing next-generation satellite ground systems. In this role, you will contribute to a Java Spring Boot-based planning and scheduling application that enables mission operations, resource allocation, and execution for satellite ground software. You will work as part of a mission-focused engineering team delivering scalable, reliable backend services while supporting integration, testing, and operational deployment in a secure environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices supporting satellite ground planning and scheduling workflows
Implement RESTful APIs and backend services aligned with defined system architecture and mission requirements
Collaborate with systems engineers and domain experts to translate mission needs into technical solutions
Support integration and test activities, including troubleshooting and defect resolution
Participate in technical reviews, code reviews, and software audits
Develop and maintain system interfaces (internal and external)
Contribute to basic DevOps activities, including:
GitLab repository management
CI/CD pipeline usage and maintenance
Supporting containerized deployments and environment configuration
Follow secure software development practices within a classified environment

Salary Range:
The salary and compensation for this position will be determined based on skill level, experience, and education as applicable. These factors include, but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, ability to fulfill all job requirements, education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, bargaining agreements (if any), or other applicable law.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Currently active TS/SCI security clearance issued by a U.S. Government Entity
Minimum of 11-15 years of Software Development experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
Experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs
Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows (GitLab perferred)
Working knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Ability to design, deploy and maintain complex software systems
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively work, and communicate, with engineers, systems teams, and leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
U.S. Government Adjudicated Full-Scope or Counterintelligence polygraph
Experience with planning and scheduling systems, mission management, or satellite ground operations
Familiarity with microservice architectures and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Experience supporting software in an operational or mission-critical environment
Background in intelligence community systems or space domain awareness
