Server Position At The Breakers WestThe Breakers West Sever is responsible for providing a high-quality dining experience for our guests. The role requires a warm and welcoming personality that aims to engage customers and provide excellent service. The primary responsibility of the Server is to take guest orders, ring them in the Micros system, and deliver them with a smile. Up-selling and explaining daily specials is also an important part of the job. Overall, the Server maintains the cleanliness of the dining room and outside seating areas.Weekend availability is required.QualificationsPrior experience in a fine dining setting is preferredMust be at least 18 years of age or olderAbility to stand and move for extended periods of timeStrong communication and customer service skillsWillingness to learn and execute new skillsBasic math and computer skills requiredResponsibilitiesGreet and welcome guests with a warm and positive demeanorTake food and beverage orders and ring them in the Micros systemUpsell and explain daily specials to guestsDeliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and friendly mannerEnsure cleanliness of the dining room and outside seating areasStock food and beverage needs for the day and complete closing side workMaintain cleanliness of salt and pepper shakers, sugar caddies, and back-of-the-house areasClean coffee urns and ice tea machines at the end of the day
