Security Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:Protect the company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environmentObserve for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbancesAct lawfully in direct defense of life or propertyApprehend criminals and evict violatorsTake accurate notes of unusual occurrencesReport in detail on any suspicious incidentsPatrol randomly or regularly building and perimeterMonitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gatesWatch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipmentContacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergencyPerforms other related duties as assignedWork schedule is weekends and overnight hours (3rd shift). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High school diploma or equivalent preferredProven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position preferredAbility to operate detecting systems and emergency equipmentExcellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocolsSurveillance skills and detail orientationAbility to remain calm in high-pressure situationsAbility to learn the layout of the property and buildingMust have a valid Driver’s LicenseMust be able to comply with all company policies and proceduresProspective employees will receive consideration without discrimination because of race, color, religion, marital status, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, veteran status, disability or genetic information.
