A premier Accounting and Finance search firm in the Bay area, has teamed with a great construction industry client of ours on a search for a Controller role.This role is onsite in Southern half of Bay Area.Financial Oversight: Owns the complete revenue and margin recognition cycle, enterprise-level over/under billing strategy, and full-cycle cash flow forecastingStrategic Reporting: Synthesizes KPIs to identify enterprise trends, assesses organizational risk, and communicates net income and overhead forecasts for all operations to senior leadershipOperational Partnership: Reviews project revenue and cost projections with Operations Managers and supports leadership in planning for shifts in project volumeTalent Management: Leads succession planning, hiring, and onboarding for the operations accounting team, ensuring full role utilization and professional growth through delegationProcess & Governance: Establishes internal control frameworks and departmental policies. Drives automation and the integration of new financial technologies. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this positionManages TeamBackgroundBS Degree and 15 years of progressive accounting experience, leading to the Controller levelStrong knowledge of construction industryExpert-level GAAP knowledge, specifically ASC 606 for long-term construction projectsProficiency in Oracle Enterprise Business Suite or similar ERP packagesCPAPublic Accounting experience highly desired
