Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Mar 10, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring neuro experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and IN or compact licensure. Details Work in a dynamic mixed acuity unit providing care to both medical-surgical and progressive (PCU) level patients Patient populations include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary cases MS patients are assigned a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio; PCU patients 1:3-4 Administers drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin; cares for post-heart cath and post-pacemaker patients Care for unstable stroke patients and those on BiPap Uses Cerner charting system Shift options include day shifts of 4x12 hours (6:00–18:30) or 3x12 hours, with weekend and holiday coverage required All travelers must float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital Requirements Active IN state RN license, IN temp, or compact RN license required prior to start Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted) 18 months to 2 years of relevant experience required Solid neuro experience is required Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin drips, as well as post heart cath and post-pacemaker care Cerner charting experience required Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required Local candidates are not accepted for this position Additional Information Responsibilities include monitoring and administering specialized drips, providing care to advanced acuity patients, and supporting oncology and stroke care Scrub requirement is red top with black bottoms All travelers will be required to float as needed based on unit needs Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Up to 5 days of requested time off will be automatically approved Free parking is available to staff First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before applying as a traveler
