Job TitleTo maintain the continual operation of the Extruder while adhering to all OSHA standards, safety standards and quality standards applicable according to Balchem Corporation's Policies.Essential FunctionsRequires being able to lift 55 lbs. several times during shiftParticipate in Safety programs and work safely at all times.Tend to assigned machine that extrudes food productsStart, stop, adjust, and trouble shoot assigned machines to maximize up-time.Accurately record running parameters of machine and product.Communicate with team members on machine status.Clean and sanitize all food processing equipment and areas are clean and ready for the following shift's production.Maintain appropriate records for all phases of production/sanitation, assuring accurate records.Adhere to all company policies and proceduresRequirementsMust be 18 years or older.Knowledge of food manufacturing operations and equipment is preferable.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Working ConditionsIndividual will continually be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, to talk and hear, and to utilize specific vision abilities including but not limited to close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focusRegularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, using proper ergonomic principles, taste, smell, and lift up to 25 poundsPeriodically required to lift up to and above 55 pounds, utilizing safe and proper lift techniques and equipmentIndividual will rarely be required to sitIndividual will operate equipment, including but not limited to computers, drafting equipment and instruments involving scientific meters and measuring devicesThe ability to distinguish colors is requiredBalchem Corporation requires anyone working in the plant or entering the plant to adhere to the personal protective equipment policies and proceduresAll personal protective equipment furnished must be worn by all employees when required or needed to perform proper and safe working conditionsIndividual may rarely be exposed to wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, work in extreme heat (non-weather), work in high noise levels and vibrationIndividual may also be periodically working in high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme cold (non-weather)ShiftsMonday - Friday $19/hr base pay + Shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shiftBenefits$1 per hour increase at 90 days!401k match 100% up to 6% with immediate vestingPaid Time Off 80 hours vacation, 56 hours paid sickHoliday Pay 9 company holidays plus 8 hours "floating" holidayMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceHealth Savings AccountLimited Flexible Spending AccountDependent Care AccountMany Shifts AvailableRegular Pay Increases and Skill AssessmentsOpportunity for Advancement
