Staff Accountant – Ranta CPA + Associates (Seattle, WA) Are you a detail-oriented accountant who loves helping businesses stay financially organized and grow with confidence? Ranta CPA + Associates is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Business Accounting Services team. We’re a collaborative, tech-forward accounting firm located near Seattle Center in Lower Queen Anne, serving individuals and closely held businesses across the Pacific Northwest and West Coast. What You’ll Do You’ll support a range of clients under our business accounting services — from state and local tax support to full-service accounting and controller-level engagements. Staff Accounts generally Every day looks a little different, but you’ll commonly: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Handle A/P and A/R for a small portfolio of clients Prepare and issue internal management and client reports Administer payroll and file payroll tax returns Manage periodic state and local tax filings and business license renewals You’ll work closely with managers, partners, and other team members to complete recurring and one-time projects for assigned clients. Occasionally, you’ll also pitch in with firmwide projects or help support the tax team. We primarily use QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Gusto — so comfort with cloud-based systems and a love of learning new tools is expected. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who combines accounting know-how with great communication and customer service. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and motivated to keep learning. If you have: 2–5 years of general ledger, A/P, or A/R experience (public or private accounting). Familiarity with accounting software and sound technical understanding. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
