Statistical Data Analyst III (Remote) - Emergency Medicine

Position Summary
This dual role will (1) provide methodological, data management, analytic and statistical support for investigators within the Department of Emergency Medicine, and (2) develop expertise in administrative datasets to support Emergency Medicine research.
This position is remote. Employees working under a remote work arrangement may be expected to return on-site periodically for meetings or other events, to pick up equipment and materials, to meet other work requirements, or as otherwise required by their supervisors.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Designs and conducts statistical analyses using standard statistical programs.
Interprets and explains research findings and project outcomes both orally and in writing.
Independently designs and manages research initiatives.
Provides expert advice on research design, sampling, data collection instruments, data quality, data analyses, and other support to department's research teams.
Represents the organization in a variety of academic and policy settings.
Manages large, complex data sets with excellent documentation, for use by multiple parties.
Assists investigators with study design, methodology, and analysis plans for studies/grant proposals including sample/effect size and/or power calculations (collaborating with or under the supervision of expert statisticians as appropriate).
Builds and/or maintains databases, combines multiple data sources, data cleaning, and producing any necessary interim study reports (all of which must be documented and reproducible).
Conducts analyses via coding (documented and reproducible) in statistical software (R, SAS, STATA, etc.), generates tables and figures, and interprets the results (collaborating with or under the supervision of expert statisticians as appropriate).
Drafts methods and results sections for abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts, including any final tables/figures (collaborating with or under the supervision of expert statisticians as appropriate).
Maintains proper data security and IRB protocols.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Certifications/Professional Licenses: No specific certification or professional license is required.
Work Experience: Professional (4 years).

Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master's degree, Ph.D. - Doctor of Philosophy.
Certifications/Professional Licenses: No additional certification or professional license unless stated elsewhere in the job posting.
Work Experience: Working on research projects conducting quantitative research (4 years).

Grade and Salary
Grade: G13
Salary Range: $65,900.00 - $112,700.00 per annum.
