Senior Professional, Electrical Engineering

Come join us and help shape the future!WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Engineer for our Atlanta, Georgia office.Provides high level technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial scale projects in the public and private sector. Tasks include the research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of transmission and distribution substations, power distribution, power regulation, renewable energy, as well as protection and control systems in a wide variety of contexts (utilities, transportation, building, and Federal, State, and local government projects). Substantiates reports and documentation to advise on material, installations, design, component, and construction specifications. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.Your ImpactPrepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, and specificationsOversees all aspects of projectsSets deadlines and assigns responsibilitiesExamine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projectsDesign building electrical systems including power, lighting, communication, security systems and fire alarm while adhering to the firm's QA/QC processDevelop project specificationsAttend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projectsResponsible for meeting the client's project goals and objectivesAssist in business development by pursuing new work including participation in client presentationsAssist in the firm's human resource efforts through training and mentoring junior firm membersEnhances the firm's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requestsDemonstrates core values and serves as a role model/mentor to all firm membersUpdates job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firm's Technical Committee as requestedPerform other duties as assignedWho You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for large capital projects.Engineer in Training Certification.Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standardsStrong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skillsPossess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasive and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environmentAbility to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilitiesProficiency in Revit, electrical system studies (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP), photometric studies (AGI32), math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Experience with Horizon or Project Resource Management software is preferredAbility to meet and exceed client expectationsPreferred QualificationsPE license is preferred.LEED Certification is preferred.Certifications in areas of expertise are preferred.Experience in the healthcare, industrial and/or Science & Technology design projects.#LI-LB1
