Academic Movement Disorders Neurologist - Neuroscience Center, Indianapolis

Indiana UniversityHealth Medical Group in partnership with Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a Movement Disorder Neurologist to join our highly skilled team at the IUHealth Neuroscience Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This academic appointment includes opportunity for research and teaching. A strong commitment to clinical teaching of medical students, residents and fellows is expected. Faculty appointment is commensurate with experience. Position Details The IU Health Neuroscience Center is designated as a Center for Excellence by the Parkinson Foundation and a Center of Excellence by the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team approach to care with support nurses, social workers, pharmacists, art therapists and more. Partner with an Active Functional Surgery program, offering DBS and focused ultrasound, in addition to treatment of movement disorders including essential tremor, ataxia, blepharospasm, chorea, dystonia, essential tremor, gait disorders, torticollis and Tourette’s syndrome. Participate in strong clinical research and ongoing clinical trials for movement disorders. Opportunity to collaborate with basic and translational researchers within the Stark Neuroscience Center as well as with researchers at IU Indianapolis and Purdue University Indianapolis. Responsibilities Clinical care of patients with movement disorders, including diagnosis, management, and treatment.Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in neurology and movement disorders.Participation in clinical research and ongoing trials.Collaboration with surgical teams, including deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound procedures. Qualifications Board eligible or board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.Movement Disorder fellowship-trained in the United States.
