The Learning and Development Specialist position, housed within the Human Resources department, is dedicated to creating a dynamic learning environment through the application of innovative instructional strategies and educational technologies. The role involves designing and implementing targeted curricula to foster a student-centered approach that accommodates diverse learning styles, ensuring academic success. The instructional specialist is committed to collaborating with educators to enhance teaching methodologies and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the educational community.
Education/Certification(s):
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or similar fields
Certification in Instructional Design or Project Management a plus
Required Experience:
2 years of Content Development
Requirements:
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) or related software
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Audition, etc.) in addition to Captivate
Proficient with Final Cut Pro
Strong written and verbal communication skills; especially critical conversations; storytelling is a plus
General knowledge of animation principles and screen capture technology
Able to multi-task effectively and work independently

Duties include but are not limited to:
Creating electronic training for all positions (writing scripts, audio recording, videography, editing, production)
Responsible for the maintenance, function, and assigning of training in the HRIS Learning Management System (LMS)
Communicate with supervisors when direct reports are not compliant with required training
Creating media/advertisements for HR/recruiting (posters, radio ads, video ads, etc.)
Assist with Employee Engagement activities and community outreach
Administer cyber security training and phishing campaigns monthly and annually
Assist employees via phone or email with all training or Cyber security assignments
Ability to lead training presentations (in-person and virtual) to individual and/or groups of employees
Opportunities available for traveling to outside locations
All other duties as assigned
