The Derrickman works under the supervision of the Service Rig Operator but reports directly to the Rig Supervisor. The Derrickman's responsibilities include:Daily operation of the workover rig and support equipmentAssist in the mobilization and rigging up and down of the workover rigOperating of the tongs and slips to connect and dis-connect drill pipe, tubulars, casing and drill bits or toolsPerforming all maintenance of the equipment and physical space of the drill floorRig up and down procedures, nipple up and down and care of the B.O.P. systemPerforming housekeeping activities on the workover floor including washing, chipping and paintingParticipate in JSA and tail gate meetings as scheduledAssist in preparing tools necessary for jobWashing of trucks and equipment as neededAssist in the day-to-day lubrication and minor adjustments of equipmentAssist in the daily inspection and maintenance of equipmentOther duties as assigned. QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred1-3 years’ experience work on a well service rigMust have a valid state issued driver’s license, CDL, or the ability to obtain oneAbility to perform manual labor required to operate rig equipmentAbility to comply with DOT Regulations and Health & Safety requirementsMust be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work a flexible scheduleMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
