Safety Inspector - Pipeline & Meter Station ConstructionLocation: Salt Lake City, UTStart Date: AugustDuration: Spring 2027Scope: Pipeline construction and meter station workPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Safety Inspector to support a pipeline and meter station construction project in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a position requiring a hands-on safety professional to monitor field activities, enforce compliance, and support a strong safety culture across all phases of construction.ResponsibilitiesConduct daily safety inspections across pipeline and meter station work sitesMonitor contractor and crew compliance with OSHA regulations and client/company safety standardsIdentify, document, and help resolve safety hazards and non-conformancesConduct toolbox talks, safety orientations, and JSA/JHA reviews with crewsInvestigate incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns; complete required documentation and reportingMaintain accurate daily reports, inspection logs, and compliance recordsCoordinate with construction management and client representatives on safety mattersEnsure proper use of PPE, equipment, and adherence to permit/work proceduresSupport emergency response planning and execution as neededQualificationsMinimum 3-5 years of safety inspection experience on pipeline and/or heavy civil construction projectsExperience with meter station construction preferredOSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 500/510 a plus)Strong working knowledge of DOT/PHMSA regulations preferredAbility to travel/relocate to Salt Lake City, UT for the duration of the projectStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsValid driver's license and reliable transportation
