C & B is very dedicated to the quality of each unit that is manufactured in our facility.Job SummaryATTENDANCE BONUS!!This is an hourly positionReporting to the Group Leader - Roofing, the Roof Builder is responsible for providing physical labor support during all phases of construction and production of the roof building department.Essential FunctionsMUST BE DEPENDABLE- REPORT TO WORK EVERYDAYFollow project instructions from the Group LeaderConsult with production plans and blue printsUse construction tools and equipment to complete daily tasksFollow all health and safety regulations when operating equipmentEnsure regulated ear plugs, gloves and safety glasses are wornComplete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient mannerClean and clear debris and hazardous materialsEnsure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properlyResponsible for reading blue prints before starting work on a unitLaying out roof on a jig according to blue printInstall proper rolled insulationSet roof on walls according to codes and specificationsMinimum QualificationsProperly trained on the operation and safety aspect of electric drills, power tools, air compressor tools, nail gun etc.Experience building roofsAbility to read blue printsExperience in a construction and/or commercial manufacturing environmentFlexible "able to move to different departments when needed"Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screenMust have basic tools to start work (tape measure, hammer, etc.)Physical DemandsAbility to lift, move or handle parts weighing up to 30 pounds on a consistent basisAbility to lift, move or handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basisAbility to move from a standing position to a squatting or stooping position on a consistent basisAbility to stand for up to 4 hours at a timeIf hired for this position you will join a company with a fun, business-casual atmosphere.
