OverviewThe Warehouse Checker is responsible for accurately verifying, counting, and recording cargo and materials moving in and out of the warehouse. This position ensures that all shipments are documented properly and handled in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company procedures and customer expectations.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Count, inspect, sort, and identify incoming and outgoing cargoVerify cargo against shipping and receiving documents (BOL, packing list, etc.)Record the storage location and condition of cargo using manual and electronic systems (tablets, scanners)Load and unload trucks and containers as requiredMark, label, and measure cargo for inventory and handling purposesMaintain accurate written tallies and logsCommunicate discrepancies or damages to appropriate personnel promptlySupport inventory control through cycle counts and stock auditQualificationsCandidate Requirements:Minimum one (1) year of warehouse, logistics, or customer service experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)Basic computer skills and familiarity with handheld scannersMust have a valid Driver’s LicenseMust have or be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)Reliable transportation to and from workAbility to work well independently and in a team environmentWillingness to travel as neededPhysical Requirements And Working ConditionsWork is primarily outdoors and within warehouse environmentsMust be able to work in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, and coldAbility to walk, stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbsMay be required to work in confined spaces or elevated areas (e.g., warehouse racks, trailers)Must be able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
