Dental Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our small private practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dentist and hygienists, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for dental care and a desire to work with patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
- Participate in four-handed dentistry, working closely with the dentist and hygienist to ensure optimal care
- Take X-rays and perform other medical imaging tasks as needed- X-ray certification recommended
- Demonstrate expertise in general dentistry, providing gentle and compassionate care to all patients
- Develop a strong understanding of a variety of dental procedures
- Maintain aseptic technique in all aspects of the job, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients
- Keep up to date with the latest medical terminology and dental techniques
- Provide administrative support to the practice, including scheduling appointments and handling patient records
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction
Skills:
- Experience in general dentistry and assisting with various dental procedures
- Proficiency in imaging including X-rays and current x-ray certification
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and medical terminology
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry
- Ability to work effectively in a well paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Certification or degree in dental assisting or a related field
- Willingness to learn and grow with our dynamic team
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 32 per week
