Get ready to unearth your true potential and dig into the exciting world of HEI Civil!We are looking to hire an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team!Responsibilities:Able to operate a variety of heavy equipment, including Excavator, Loader, Skid Steer, Dozer, Blade, Water Truck, etc.Operate the equipment in adherence to safety policies, procedures, job site, and/or traffic lawsMaintain 3 points of contact on all pieces of equipment at all timesRespond to signals and directions from other staff members and work in coordination with themPerform daily walk-around checks and properly complete daily checklistClean and maintain equipmentPerform routine inspection on assigned equipment and report any needed repairs to the supervisorAttend daily safety meetings with the crewReport any safety violation to the Supervisor and/or Safety DepartmentReport any incident to the Supervisor or safety teamWhen not operating heavy equipment, must perform other duties as assigned by ForemanKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Understanding of computerized controls and electronicsExcellent hand, eye, and foot coordinationBasic understanding of construction principles and proceduresAbility to read and comprehend safety rules, plans, maintenance instructions, operating procedures, etc.Strong teamwork orientationEducation and Experience:Education: High school diploma/GED preferredExperience: 5+ years’ of operating a main line machine
