Exterior Painting
Job Description
Wash, scrape, chemically treat, sand, sandblast, or use other necessary means to prepare various surfaces for painting.
Application of materials using brush, roller, and spray equipment.
Types of materials used: latex, oils, stains, lacquer, cleaners, solvents, etc.
The components treated are siding (wood, composites, concrete), interior and exterior trims, doors (wood and metal), interior wall surfaces (gypsum, vinyl, wood), steel chassis/frames, etc.
Clean painting equipment and materials, as well as working areas, on a daily basis.
Conduct routine maintenance of paint sprayers and paint guns; disassemble and rebuild when necessary.
Job Qualifications:
Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
Must have a valid drivers license or reliable transportation.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to be fitted with a respirator.
Experienced in operating and using equipment and fabricating components and materials used by the painting crew.
Ability to interpret construction drawings.
Ability to find creative solutions to problems.
