The ideal candidate will combine software development capabilities with electrical engineering knowledge to help design, implement, and maintain automated test systems for flight-critical avionics. Share your resume with us today!Primary Responsibilities.Design and implement automated test procedures for avionics hardware components and systemsDevelop test software using modern languages (Python, C/C++, LabVIEW) within a CI/CD frameworkSupport hardware-in-the-loop test systems that simulate real-world conditions for avionics componentsCollaborate with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers to optimize product performanceDocument test requirements, procedures, and results using digital engineering toolsApply "test-like-you-fly" methodologies to ensure products meet mission requirementsTroubleshoot hardware/software issues and provide technical recommendationsParticipate in review boards and technical interchange meetings with customers and suppliersBasic Qualifications.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field4-8 years of experience in test engineering for electronic systemsKnowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or LabVIEWFamiliarity with test automation and CI/CD practicesUnderstanding of electronics design, including reading schematicsExperience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and embedded systemsKnowledge of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, RS232, Ethernet)Ability to use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile development methodsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work full-time at our Huntsville, AL facilityUS Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearancePreferred Qualifications.Master's degree in related engineering fieldExperience with RF testing and calibrationExperience in aerospace or defense industry test environmentsKnowledge of environmental testing proceduresFamiliarity with databases for test data collectionExperience with digital engineering tools (JIRA, Confluence, GitLab)Understanding of statistical analysis for test validationExperience with test systems for production environmentsFamiliarity with military standardsPrior DoD program experienceIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
