This role receives material against open purchase orders, allocates inventory in VISUAL, and stages jobs according to VISUAL Work Order pick lists, advising when each job is ready to build. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Forklift certification, or the willingness and ability to obtain one. Minimum 2 years of warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or material-handling experience preferred; manufacturing environment preferred. Experience using an ERP system for receiving, issuing, and inventory movement; Infor VISUAL experience preferred. Ability to read part numbers, labels, packing slips, pick lists, Work Orders, and VISUAL screens accurately. Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and time-management skills; ability to multitask and manage by priorities. Basic computer proficiency. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Tasks and Responsibilities: Forklift & Material Movement Safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment to move material within the warehouse. Manage the flow of material through receiving, put-away, storeroom, kitting, and staging areas. Load and unload material; handle wire barrels / reels, conduit spools, and pallets with appropriate care. Maintain safe, clean, organized, and clearly labeled warehouse, receiving, storeroom, and staging areas (6S). Receiving Receive incoming shipments; verify correct material and quantities against packing slips and the purchase order. Receive material against open Purchase Orders in VISUAL (Purchase Receipt Entry) and issue parts to the respective Traveler / Work Order as required. Document and report damaged containers, quantity discrepancies, and questionable or nonconforming material to the Buyer and Supervisor; segregate and route it per company process; receive it into approved QA locations until released off hold. Put away unallocated stock (received from vendors or returned from production) to its storeroom location; assign or confirm inventory Location IDs. Inventory Allocation in VISUAL Allocate inventory in VISUAL to work orders / sales orders as directed (shared with the Supervisor; not a Buyer function). Perform inventory transactions accurately. This includes receipts, issues, moves, and location changes so VISUAL reflects physical on-hand, quantities, and locations. Run the Stock Status Report to verify on-hand quantities and locations ahead of cycle counts, put-away, and staging. Participate in cycle counts and fiscal year-end inventory; report variances for review. Kitting & Staging Using VISUAL Work Order pick lists, pull, stage, and present material for each job. Ensure kits are complete on time to meet each work order's start date; release staged jobs to production and advise when complete. Accurately document all shortages on the pick list; review daily receipts and fill outstanding shortages as material becomes available; identify shortages arising from the kitting process. Physical Requirements Able to stand, sit, and/or walk for up to 8 hours. Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, and climb. Able to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs. Able to use hands repetitively for up to 8 hours; grasping, turning, and fine manipulation. Able to operate a forklift, machinery, and a variety of hand tools for up to 8 hours. Able to read, write, measure, and distinguish color; able to see small details on a computer screen or paper documents. Able to wear all required personal protective equipment, such as safety goggles and closed-toed shoes, while on the production floor. Goals 100% accuracy in receiving material, allocating inventory, and inventory adjustments. 100% accuracy of shortage data on pick lists. Complete all kitting and staging by end of day for jobs placed on the floor that day; advise when complete. All received material processed and put away by end of day. Maintain 6S standards for warehouse organization and housekeeping. Maintain inventory accuracy so VISUAL reflects physical stock.
