Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Propulsion System Simulation Engineer to support future electric vehicle programs through detailed simulation and analysis of battery pack performance, durability, discharge characteristics, and charging behavior. This role will focus on generating simulation insights, tracking results, and supporting engineering decisions while ensuring continuity of simulation activities across multiple development programs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform propulsion system simulations for battery packs, including discharge, durability, and charging behavior analysis.Analyze simulation results and identify recommended next steps to support testing, validation, and design decisions.Manage and prioritize simulation workloads to support ongoing and future vehicle programs.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation findings into product development activities.Maintain accurate documentation of simulation models, assumptions, results, and recommendations.Support the continuous improvement of simulation methodologies, tools, and workflows.Ensure simulation activities are completed in accordance with project schedules and engineering standards.Assist with knowledge transfer and documentation to support long-term program continuity.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in battery systems, electric vehicle propulsion, energy storage systems, or related simulation work.Experience using simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent platforms.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering data.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with battery pack modeling and simulation.Familiarity with electric vehicle propulsion systems and battery development processes.Understanding of battery cell, module, and pack-level electrical and thermal behavior.Experience developing and executing charging, discharge, or durability simulation workflows.Experience coordinating simulation activities across multiple programs or projects.Ability to create clear documentation and support knowledge transfer initiatives.Top Required SkillsBattery pack performance, durability, discharge, and charging system simulation.Experience with engineering simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and Python.Ability to analyze simulation results, identify actionable recommendations, and communicate findings effectively.THIS ROLE IS HYBRID WITH 4 DAYS ONSITE AND 1 FROM HOME (WILL NEED ALIGNMENT ON WHICH DAY FROM HOME AS WELL)
