Senior Manager, Senior Staff Counsel, Legal Ethics and Compliance TeamThe role of Senior Manager, Senior Staff Counsel is a full-time attorney position within Asurion’s Legal Department and has responsibility to help ensure that the Company adheres to the Company’s various contractual obligations, through the creation and maintenance of risk mitigation controls including but not limited to policies, procedures, systems, training and communications, and auditing and monitoring.The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with excellent problem-solving, relationship-building, decision-making, and time management skills. Experience in contract compliance management is highly preferred.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Create and maintain risk mitigation controls, processes and systems to help ensure Asurion’s adherence with the Company’s contractual obligations.Act as a liaison to other Departments to help ensure their adherence to applicable contractual provisionsDevelop a thorough understanding of Asurion’s business, processes, and goals to provide innovative solutions that solve unique or challenging problemsEstablishes strong collaborative relationships with cross functional teams, including but not limited to Legal, Client Services, Customer Solutions, Finance, and Supply ChainDemonstrate good analytical skills and judgmentConduct research projectsAct as a trusted advisor to business leadersActively seek operational understanding and implications of initiativesVarious tasks and assignments as assignedQualified:J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school5+ years of inhouse, contract and/or contract compliance experienceDemonstrates the ability to effectively understand, consider, and address the client or business while mitigating risk exposureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust possess strong judgment, confidence, collaborative problem-solving skills, and ability to spot potential issues quicklyMust be able to independently handle a variety and number of legal mattersSchedules and prioritizes work and deliverables to ensure on-time response to a large variety of changing demands/requests/requirementsHighly organized and driven to thoroughly understand the issues and the possible implications of situations and decisions
